iPhone Setup

  1. Tap Settings icon (looks like gears as the picture).
  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Tap Add Account
  4. Tap Other
  5. Tap Add Mail Account
  6. Fill in Name, Full Email account, Password. Description is option and will self-populate. Change if you want. Now tap Next top right of screen.
  7. Make sure at the top you click POP selection.
  8. Fill in Incoming Mail Server
    1. or pop.[state] if applicable
    2. User Name will be your full email address
  9. Scroll down to Outgoing Mail Server and configure the following.
    1. "Host name" or smtp.[state] if applicable
    2. User Name full email address.
    3. "User Name" will be your full email address.
    4. Password MUST be added as well
    5. Now tap Save in the top right corner. It will say "Verifying"
    6. You will be met with a pop-up screen stating: "Cannot connect using SSL" Select Yes
    7. A moment later this will take you to the account settings screen
    8. Hit the "Home" button to go to your home screen and launch the "Mail" app, your e-mail account should now be setup

If you ARE able to receive e-mail but NOT able to send e-mail:

  1. From the home screen, tap the Settings icon (looks like gears as the picture)
  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Tap on the name of your MetroCast account
    1. Tap on "SMTP" under "Outgoing Mail Server"
    2. Tap on the server address under "Primary Server"
    3. Make sure that server is ON, username is your Full E-mail Address with a Password
    4. "Use SSL" is ON
    5. "Authentication" is set to Password
    6. "Server Port" is set to 465
    7. Choose the "Done" button to save, after saving hit the "Home" button and try again
