MAC Mail Setup

1. Click on the apple and go to System Preferences



2. In System Preferences click on Network



3. Location should be set to Automatic



4. Show should be set to Built-In Ethernet



5. Next click on TCP/IP



6. Configure Using DHCP



7. Click Apply Now, close and save

1. Click on the postage stamp in your dock



2. Click on MAIL and go to PREFERENCES



3. In the PREFERENCES screen, click on ACCOUNTS

• Account type will be POP
• Description will be MetroCast Mail
• Email address will be username@metrocast.net
• Full name is your first and last name
• Incoming mail server is:
  
  CT: pop.ct.metrocast.net
  MD: pop.md.metrocast.net
  ME: pop.metrocast.net
  MS: pop.ms.metrocast.net
  NH: pop.metrocast.net
  PA: pop.pa.metrocast.net
  SC: pop.sc.metrocast.net
  VA: pop.va.metrocast.net
  
  
• User name is email address without @metrocast.net in lower case letters
• Password is the password set by you with MetroCast and is case sensitive
• Outgoing mail server is:
  
  CT: smtp.ct.metrocast.net
  MD: smtp.md.metrocast.net
  ME: smtp.metrocast.net
  MS: smtp.ms.metrocast.net
  NH: smtp.metrocast.net
  PA: smtp.pa.metrocast.net
  SC: smtp.sc.metrocast.net
  VA: smtp.va.metrocast.net
  
  
• MetroCast does not use secure socket authentication
