    Digital Cable FAQs

A digital converter is a set top box that converts scrambled (or encrypted) channels so that they may be viewed on your television. Services available through a settop converter include Digital Music Channels, On Demand and Pay-Per-View channels, and access to digital networks and multiple channels of your favorite premium networks such as HBO, Cinemax, StarzEncore, and Showtime.

A MetroCast digital terminal adapter (DTA) or digital settop converter/DVR is required on each television in your home in order to view channels that are provided through your MetroCast video subscription.

If the commercial power has been restored after an outage and your MetroCast service is not working, please contact our customer service team for assistance. Please note that during power outages, particularly those that result from storms, it is possible that you may have power restored at your home, but that the disruption of power that supplies MetroCast's distribution system may affect the availabilty of MetroCast services until power is fully restored in the service area.

User guides for MetroCast-issued equipment can be found at
